Hi everyone!
This is where I’ll be sharing some more personal reflections as I live life day to day.
You’re welcome to read along if you’d like! But don’t feel obligated to!

Diet Life - Day 4
September 24, 2011Cravings: It’s Sydney’s birthday today (yay!) so I have sweets on my mind. I made her favorite breakfast this morning, eggs, bacon & toast, and that toast with jelly was calling me. Then we went to Supey’s soccer game, and the other team had donuts for their snack. I could smell them from 15 yds away. I almost screamed. To top it off, I get aGroupon alert for a great deal on some gourmet cupcakes! Ugh! Not helping here, lol.
Breakfast: After cooking for everyone else, I made some ground beef & egg whites in a lettuce wrap. It was good, but the ground turkey is making me feel woozy. I was sick to my stomach last night, and I had a spicey asian lettuce wrap with the spicey ground turkey. Out was amazing, but left a bad feeling in my tummy. The turkey was seasoned with ginger, light soy, chives, onion, garlic & srirachan sauce. Yum.
Snacks: As soon as we got home from the game, I made some yogurt and fruit and felt much better. I’m about to drink some tea and start my baking. Lord be with me!

Diet Life - Day 3
September 23, 2011Cravings: This morning I had a huge hankering for cinnamon rolls again. Man, I picked up a Root Beer float for Syd and it was SO hard not to “taste” it. She kept offering it to me, too. That girl. Lol.
Breakfast: I tried ground turkey seasoned with some chives, garlic & onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. I ate with 2 scrambled egg whites. I got hungry not long after and had some yogurt with fresh blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. That did the trick.
Snacks: In class I ate all of my carrots. So I’ll probably be hungry this afternoon. I keep forgetting to drink my green tea! I’m going to meet Sydney for lunch (tomorrow’s her birthday), and I think the thought of not being able to pick up a treat for myself when I get her one is making me anxious. So on my way to her school I eat a peach.
Lunch: Green salad with cucumbers and cilantro. Some chopped up salmon on top as well. I was in a rush this morning and forgot my salad dressing, shucks!, but Raquel said to try it dry, and it’s really not so bad as long as I have a bit of cucumber and salmon to “juice up” the dry salad leaves.
Dinner: The family got pizza (Hungry Howie’s, have mercy!) And I made some super yummy lettuce wraps, derived from a PF Chang’s recipe. I loved them, but maybe I ate too much or something, hey I was starving, because I felt like I could lose my dinner at any minute afterwards. I hit the sack early.
Diet Life - Day 2
September 22, 2011Cravings: Someone in class was eating a warm cinnamon roll near me and I almost cried it smelled so good. And this afternoon I almost caved to the Reese’s Peanut Butter cups that were staring at me in the check out aisle.
Breakfast: Fruit and yogurt. It works. Had some tea, too.
Snacks: Grapes in class. Some broccoli slaw with a bit of vinaigrette.
Lunch: Leftovers from last night. Santa Fe chicken. Yum.
Dinner: Stir Fry with chicken, mushrooms, red & yellow peppers, onions, garlic & light soy. I added some ground ginger, and some red pepper flakes in my bowl. Kids loved it over rice. No rice for me.
Snack: Some yogurt and some green tea.
Diet Life – Day 1
September 21, 2011Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit.
Cravings: This morning I was going mad for some eggs, bacon & cheese grits. Mad.
Snacks: I had steamed broccoli with some parmesan and red pepper flakes as soon as I got into work. I was starving. Then I had some tuna. And then some carrots.
Lunch: Yummy wummy salad with mushrooms, red peppers, and a good vinaigrette (making my own, and it’s good!). Had some tuna in the salad, too.
Dinner: Santa Fe chicken. Yum. I added some cumin to mine and Sie’s after the kids were served and it was delish. We all had salad on the side. Everyone else had rice with their chicken. Had some green tea afterwards.
