*Wee Memories* Blog Hop – Guest Designer

**This is Post #2 for the day… Scroll down for the Skipping Stones NSD Blog Hop**

Hey y’all!

I’m here today to share a card that I made as a Guest Designer with Wee Memories for the month of May. Miss Jenny is a sweetheart that I bumped into on the net, and she was so kind to invite me to join her wonderful team for the month.

Today is the Blog Hop, and we are focusing on the “C.R.A.F.T.S. theme”… Have you heard of it? This is actually my first time ever hearing of it… but basically you include any or all of the following:

Color,
R
ibbon,
A
crylic,
F
loral,
T
wine, and
S
tamps…

Pretty neat, huh? :)

Well, I needed a bit of a nudge, so I solicited the help of the almighty Pinterest for some eye candy… (lol…)

I found an earlier pin of mine, and knew that I wanted to use it…

I could talk all day about how and why I love this photo and every little element incorporated into it… but I won’t… I think the pic speaks for itself. ;)

This lovely sentiment comes from the Happiness Is… stamp set, newly released at The Craft’s Meow.

Here’s the full shot of my card… I had a *blast* creating this card and adhering to all (I think I covered everything!…) of the requirements of the C.R.A.F.T.S. challenge!

Join the Wee Memories crew for more blog hop details here, and find out how you can win some brand new rubber stamps from the sponsor, The Greeting Farm!

If you’ve been there already, then hop along to your next stop at miss Lea Lawson’s sunshiney blog. :)

Thanks for popping by!

*Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge* No. 23 + Fun with Tiff!

Hey y’all! How’s it going?

It feels like so long since I’ve been here to chat with y’all, so please accept my apologies. I’m here today to share this week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge with you… I *love* this sketch! Now, I have to be honest and say that the asymmetry of this sketch definitely posed a challenge in my book – I’m all about balance, lol. But I think that after playing around with this for a little bit, I really began to love how it turned out… Especially with the yummy Crate Paper chipboard that I worked with… isnt’ it just *perfect*? It’s from the Restoration line, and I think we all know how utterly amazing that collection is.

I used the beautiful background text stamp from the ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas set which is from the latest release of stamps at WM. I stamped it in my favorite distressed fashion over some patterned paper from the Brook Collection by Crate Paper. Then I layered lots of my favorite embellies to create the corner focal point, followed by a sweet, banner sentiment from the

Here’s the sketch:

I do hope you choose to play along this week with us. You will have the chance to win some fab stamps by Waltzingmouse, which is always a good thing. ;) Check out the link to the challenge below.

=====================================================================

Before I run, I have to share some fun stuff with ya… This weekend I got to meet one of my best crafty friends Tiffany as she and her family were passing through the bayou state on their cross-country treck to Washington. They only stayed in town for a few hours, but that was just long enough for us to meet up and get some hugs and laughs in. It was just like meeting up with a childhood friend… Total happiness, I couldn’t stop smiling, lol! Here we are with my Syd who accompanied us… (Supey did too, but he wasn’t cooperating for the photo-session, lol!)

I also baked some of these muffins for Tiff and her family… I thought they’d like a sweet snack for the road, something that would stick to their bellies a bit. So I made some mini muffins for the boys, and some big ones for Tiff (I’m not sure if she shared w/her hubby, but that’s between them, LOL!… they were *good!*). Then…. I made a batch for ME my family! Tee hee…

muffins

White chocolate, cranberry & walnut… Oh man… Yep… I had three two for breakfast. ;-)

Be good lovelies… I’ll be back soon!

OH!!! Before I go…. Ash has been in the giving mood lately, and it’s rubbing off on me! :) I’ll have some fun giveaways coming up soon on the ol’ blog. I have a lot of new subscribers since the last time I did a giveaway, so I thought I’d give everyone a fresh chance at some goodies. ;) See ya then!…

Hey y’all!

How are you??? I feel like I haven’t blogged in such a long time, lol! I have a to-do list out the wazoo right now, but I wanted to share a card I made right before bed last night. I had been working on DT stuff all evening and wanted to close out the night with a card just for fun…

I used a beautiful color challenge that miss Mona has just started on her blog. You should definitely check it out – her blog is overflowing with inspiration! (And she’s one of the sweetest persons you’ll ever get to know!)

One thing I’ll mention before I run… that pretty flower actually came with a rust & brown pearl center piece. It was just stuck on with some form of a glue dot, but it didn’t match what I wanted, so I plucked it off (and saved it! lol!) and created my own centerpiece with a GCD Studios brad and some KaiserCraft pearls. I love how it turned out!

Well, I can’t stay long today sweets, but I wish you all a fabulous week! See ya soon!

*Waltzingmouse Sketch #10*

Posted by on Aug 14, 2010 in Prima, Waltzingmouse | 13 comments

wm10a

Hey y’all!

Today is the 10th sketch challenge with Waltzingmouse Stamps! This week’s sketch is super simple, and as always, up for your interpretation. I went with a slightly more asymmetrical look in comparison to the sketch. Not on purpose or anything, it’s just the way my card ended up. :) I used 2 very popular WM stamp sets on my card: the background stars from Midnight Feast behind the sentiment & Season of Love, for the sentiment and the border. Claire always includes the most gorgeous little flourishes in her sets… such a great way to add a little something extra to your design.

If you want to play along, upload your card to the WMSC blog (linked below) by Thursday, August 19 at midnight EST. And here’s the sketch:
