Hey y’all!

Well, I’ve been hinting at some exciting things that have been buzzing around these parts, and I’m so thrilled to finally get to share what’s been going on!

Circle Badge

Today marks the debut of ProvoCraft’s FIRST ever blog!…the Cricut Circle blog! The wonderful folks at ProvoCraft have so kindly invited me and twelve other really amazing designers to be a part of the Circle Blog’s Design Team! (insert squeeaal!)

I can’t even begin to explain my level of excitement right now… I start squealing like a teenage girl and I can’t stop smiling! :) So let me just give you some tidbits about this new (fantastic!) blog.

The Cricut Circle

The Cricut Circle is Provo Craft’s affinity program. Provo Craft launched the Cricut Circle on July 1, 2010. The Circle is a place to Inspire, Educate and Create. This program enables crafters to see Provo Craft products first, be involved in specialized focus groups and surveys, receive special pre-launch specials on select Provo Craft products, a private blog and message board for Circletes to foster a special crafting community. Additionally, Cricut Circle members will enjoy 4 exclusive cartridges—one each quarter, instructional webinars and double reward points for purchases on Cricut.com.

The Cricut Circle is available for annual or quarterly installments. To purchase a membership to the Cricut Circle visit cricut.com. Annual memberships are $274.99 and quarterly memberships at $79.99.

And the GREAT part is, even if you aren’t a member right now, the Cricut Circle blog will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC to give you the opportunity to experience the greatness that is the Cricut Circle blog. Be sure to check out the Cricut Circle blog after you leave here to see a bit more about what’s going on.

—————————————————————————————————-

So, in celebration of this GINORMOUS event… let’s have some fun shall we? Tee hee… :) Does a give away sound good to you? How about a GYPSY giveaway??? Leave me a comment sharing the 1 ProvoCraft product you wish you could get your hands on, and you’ll be entered to win your very own Gypsy by Cricut! Sound fun? I’d say so! (Only one comment per person please!)

And why not a card to carry on in the celebration?…

I used my current favorite cartridge on this card… it’s actually a Cricut Cake cartridge by Martha Stewart Crafts, and it’s called Seasonal Cake Art. Super gorgeous lace borders and dainty designs can be found in this cart… definitely a must have!

Well, thanks so very much for stopping by and celebrating with me, with us, today!

Celebrate 1

Hey y’all!

I hope you had a great weekend! I’ve got lots going on, so I’ll try and keep things quick today. :) My card is one that I made while playing with some more Crate Paper goodies. No rhyme or reason to this card, just me having fun. Check out the close-ups:

You can also see me and some of the other “CP girls” on the Crate Paper blog today… It’s my “official” introduction as a DT member. :)

And on to some other news….

Saturday I taught my very first class at my LSS, Scrapbook & Co. I had so much fun! It was so awesome to meet the ladies who were all just as excited to be there as I was! They were so sweet and worked so well together. We had tons of fun, and I can’t wait for the other classes I’ll be teaching in the future (the next one’s July 31st! !) Thanks ladies!

Here are some pics of some of the participants. I have to mention something that my dear friend shared with me, and that’s how proud everyone was of their work. It just filled my heart so very much to see them excited about what they learned! Here they are… (that’s me on the right with my LSS owner…SUCH as sweetheart!):

And here are some shots of the cards we made… the class is called “Ruffles ‘N Stitches” and we highlighted 4 techniques for ruffling ribbon on cards…. sooo much fun!

Hey y’all!

I’m just here to share a bit of a festive card today. I really wasn’t going to make anything for the holiday, but I was inspired by the current challenge over at the CARDS blog to create a card for the 4th, so I went ahead and played til I came up with this. Hope you like!

Oh! I’ve got some fun news to share. :) I have been invited to joine the Crate Paper design team! I am sort of bubbling with excitement here, but trying to maintain my cool  all at the same time, lol! I feel so blessed to have been given this super amazing opportunity. I’ve always wanted to design for a company like Crate Paper, and the fact that it’s manifesting already is such a joy! And the team, wow… it’s chock full of talent! I’m just in awe right now, lol.  Anyway, I can’t wait to share some lovelies with ya, so stay tuned! :)

*Wonderful Friend* + Exciting News!

Posted by on Jun 11, 2010 in Color Combos Galore, Exciting News!, Little Yellow Bicycle, Papertrey Ink, Prima | 19 comments

Wonderful Friend

Hey there y’all!

Boy am I glad it’s Friday! This week has been so full for me, but thankfully I have been able to knock out the majority of the things on my to-do list (Even with my internet going kaput last night). And on top of all that I had to do, I had the added pressure of waiting to see the results of Round 1 of Gallery Idol. The wait ended early this morning when I learned that I am moving on to Round 2! I made Top 15!  I am too excited!

THANK YOU for your votes and words of encouragement that helped bring me this far!

I have to be honest and share that I’m pretty sad to see some of my friends not make it on to the next round with me. They really brought so much joy to the competition and helped me forget that it was even a contest at all!  So I’m super grateful to them for that, and sad to see them go. Hugs to you ladies!

Now… the next category of the competition is masculine cards featuring items from a garage…. *crickets* Hmmm… This should be pretty interesting. Lol! Garage items aren’t really my forte, but you know I’m gonna give it my best shot! And again… I can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve shown me thus far! And I thank you in advance for your future support as I (hopefully!) move on to the further rounds.

How about we move on into the juicy stuff… today’s card! I made this card because I was so inspired by the colors of the Color Combos Galore challenge that just posted. The team of designers did such an amazing job with the colors, that I couldn’t help but to play along!

Before I go, I wanted to remind you that today is the last day to enter my “Welcome” blog candy. I can’t believe that it’s been almost 2 weeks since I transitioned to this new blog! Time sure flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it? Thanks again to all of you who have helped make this transition as smooth as it has been.

Chat at y’all later!

One new thing that you may have noticed is my Etsy shop. I’ve had it open for a little while now, but I’ve made a recent effort to keep it stocked and full of goodies for you to browse and shop for. Take a look and feel free to shop any time! I’ll keep it linked up in my side bar.  Psssst… I’ll be adding something extra special to my shop for you later today!

I just want to take another moment to say thank you so very much for all of your support thus far, and for all of your future support! I continue to be encouraged and motivated by each of you each and every day. Thanks a million times over!

And last but certainly not least… I have to send a HUGE shout-out and thanks to my dear friends Hannah Craner (who designed this beautiful blog) and Savitri Wilder (who helped me with lots of back-end support and motivation to finally get this done!). We can all thank the two of them for this wonderful new site I am able to have. :) Hugs and lots of love to you both! xoxo
