Now for my project!

I wanted to make a fun and festive Easter card using Very Vintage Florals and a previously released set, Easter Greetings, and I was really inspired by some Basic Grey papers I had on hand. I grabbed a pretty floral patterned paper, and had it cut to size when I looked down and realized, “Hey, I can stamp this myself!” So that’s what I did…

I mostly used Embroidered Bouquet and Very Vintage Florals, but I also snuck in an image or two from Lacey Layers. Once everything was stamped, I added some depth and texture using my distress inks.

I’m pretty excited about how it turned out! And it didn’t take nearly as long as you’d think. I’ve never been big on stamping such busy backgrounds… I typically use my stamps for embellishment purposes, if that makes any sense. So, it was fun to try something a little different for a change. What kind of stamping do you usually do?

Now don’t forget, everything you see here will be available in the Wplus9 Shop at Midnight EST on February 5, 2013.

Ok folks, it’s been fun! I’m excited to see what you all do when you get these stamps and dies in your hands!

Xoxo,

  1. Love your card Sarah!! The Stamped background is lovely, and you always know just how to layer and add embellishments so that it looks just perfect! Have a great week, and I hope you all are fine. hugs!!

  2. The same thing happened to me last night, only it posted way early. I have no idea! But I didn’t realize it, until I got a comment; and then, there was no removing it until later. Sigh. Oh, well! Sometimes computers/programs have minds of their own.

But your card is so beautiful! LOVE the sweet eggs, and your stampy background is fabulous!

  3. OH.MY.WORD.

You know me and stamping backgrounds, right?!

LOVE them!!! I never would have thought to rub some ink over it for some distressing, I love that idea!!

Your card is beautiful, but I am all focused on the stamping :)
