Hey everyone!
I’m back with a quick post to share the third set being released on Monday, September 19 at Waltzingmouse Stamps, Hocus Pocus…
Here is the list of all four sets that are being released this month:
- A Cottage Home,
- Say It Loud – Autumn/Winter,
- Hocus Pocus, and
- A Cottage Christmas

(source)And check out the detailed fence. I’ll be using lots of this stamp this season.
And here’s my card…

I wasn’t quite sure how it would turn out, but I’m glad I went for it. Of course, I like it more before I asked Supey (my 3yr old) to check it out…
Supey: “What’s that?”
Me: “It’s a pumpkin.”
Supey: “That’s not a pumpkin. That’s an acorn.”
Me: *jaw drop*
Supey: “Sorry. It’s a pumpkin.” *runs off*
*sigh* What am I gonna do with him?…
So, here’s a bit about how I made that pumpkin:
I began by die cutting lots of sheets of old book paper using the Spellbinders Heirloom ornament die (which you can grab at WMS, here). Then I trimmed it down as you can see, and then I stitched down the center, to bind it. I did about four sets of 8 page stacks to get my pumpkin.
Once I got my pumpkin assembled, I sprayed on some Elmer’s spray adhesive and doused it with glitter.
When I was done with this card, I went ahead and created some quick and easy goodie tags that show off the spooky sentiments.
Well, that’s all I have. Thanks for letting me share with y’all!
Be sure to check out what the other DT members have created with Hocus Pocus.

Great Halloween card! I like your pumpkin and the glittered edges are a great touch. All three of the Halloween sentiments are super, I love the font style. I can’t end this comment w/o saying that … ONLY YOU Sarah, can get away with stamping a gothic-looking, black Halloween sentiment over a pastel background! You are da’ bomb!
Awesome projects… I had an issue with your link however .
That is my FAVORITE card that you have ever made, Sarah! It’s such a stunner and soooo creative. I just love how soft and sweet it is, and the glitter looks amazing! The fence in that color looks AWESOME! By the way, it’s SO a pumpkin, hee! You and Claire sure can turn those ornament dies into the most fabulous things
! LOVE!
Oh, I love this idea! You’re story of your daughter’s reaction was precious. I had never thought to display the hedge apples! My boys loved to collect them as grade schoolers!
I think Supey pointed out that your creation today is as versatile as it is clever! I definitely think it looks like a pumpkin but I think you could also easily turn it into an acorn! Fantastic idea!
A wonderful creation Sarah! love that pumpkin with its shimmery crystals – and your labels are lovely!
I love this and those tags are something I know I can do! The sentiments from Hocus Pocus are so much better than traditional Halloween sentiments. Great job today. That sparkly pumpking in bookprint and 3D is genius.
Sarah,
This is so cute. I love your creative idea of a pumpkin! Those stamps this month are fabulous!
This is perfect! Amazing 3D pumpkin! I love the soft colors and all the sparkle!
Your tags, with the pink and purple are awesome too! I can’t not think of orange and green for Halloween!
Great pumpkin acorn – love it!
What a neat idea and creative use of the ornament die.
What a neat idea and creative use of the ornament die. Can’t wait to see the whole stamp set.
Your projects are just amazing, thank you for creating and sharing them.
Sarah, this is awesome!! You’re going to think I am a weirdo, but I actually love the way you super distressed the edges of your BG paper best! The pumpkin is *AWESOME*, don’t get me wrong… and I knew it was a pumpkin right away! But how the heck does Supey know what an acorn is? My Emma (also 3) wouldn’t have been able to put that together!
Hi Cutie!! Love your “acorn” pumpkin!!! At least Supey had the sense to change what he said the pumpkin looked like when he saw your face and then run away: too cute
And I love your tags too!! Your creations are always so pretty: Love the colors that you used. I would have never thought to do pink, but it looks great!! Have a great week! Hugs, Helen
Brilliant!!! Love the dimensional pumpkin (thanks for showing how you made it) – the sparkle on it is super! Love the sweet Halloween tags too!

Love Supey’s comment. I love your beautiful “acorn” but the tags are more within my abilities so it’s a good thing I love those too.
