*Skipping Stones Design* – Guest Designer Week 4

Hey there, y’all!
I’m back today with a card to share using the wonderful Skipping Stones Design stamps. Over the past 3 weeks or so, I’ve had the pleasure of guest designing with this great stamp company, and it has been such a joy to play along with them. We’ve had super-inspiring sketches provided by Ashley, and awesome newly released stamp sets which can be found here.
Today’s card is based on this sketch (hands down, my fave!):
I decided not to do a banner as depicted in the sketch, and instead go with a scrolling piece of chipboard that I picked up at a local garage sale (it came in a zippy FULL of pretties just like it for $2!)… Anyway, what I did was paint the chipboard with some white acrylic paint, let it dry, sand the edges, then stamp with Timeless Textures background stamp by SSD. I had initially planned to glitter the entire piece, but after doing a tester piece, I decided to just leave it be…and that’s basically how we ended up with the final result. The rest was pretty easy – cut, distress, adhere, stitch, repeat. Lol.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and as always, let me know if you have any questions!
To Heather, and all of the SSD team, thanks so much for having me this month! It’s been such a pleasure!

*My 2 Guys* + a Winner!

Hey y’all!
Happy Monday! I’m sorta sad that my weekend is over… It was FULL of celebration as my sweet Sydney turned 7 years old. We had SO very much fun eating cake, opening presents, laughing, dancing, singing and just being a family as we showered miss Sydney with love. And to think we still haven’t had her party yet, lol! She’ll be enjoying a slumber party with some of her dearest friends and family in a couple of weeks… Momma needs some time to prepare for that madness, lol!
Anyhow, the page I’m sharing today is from my time as guest designer over at the Pink Paislee blog last month. I had so much fun playing with their fun Old School collection. Though it’s a school-themed line of papers and embellishments, I had fun challenging myself to use it in other, unexpected ways. You can see the rest of my projects at the Pink Paislee blog.
I also wanted to take a chance to congratulate Tiffany! You are the winning bidder (and only bidder) of my card designed in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation during the “Blogs for Boobies” blog hop. Thanks so much, Tiffany, for stepping up to show your support for this deserving cause. You are much appreciated!
Well, thanks for popping in today, y’all! Before I slip out, I wanted to quickly share a pic that I snapped last night before my sweeties went off to bed… I can’t wait to show this to them when they’re my age.

Ashley has put together a wonderful inspiration board for the challenge:
