Hey y’all!
Please excuse my absence the last couple of days… I’ve been busy with licensing exams at work, finals at school, CHA projects, more class samples, and other DT deadlines (and family obligations, too!)… BUT, I’m super excited to be here now to share the new Embellish Magazine Color Challenge with you! We’re using more awesome photography courtesy of Travelingmama as our inspiration, and our wonderful sponsor is Ippity Stamps by Unity, by Kim Bell. For this challenge, you are to use ric rac in your design – Love it!
When I saw this photo of “Supey” and me, I knew that it would be perfect for this color combination. I pulled out some of my current favorite papers by Crate Paper and Echo Park and kept the arrangement simple. I used three stamps from the A Moment In Time stamp set…This set is perfect for scrapbook pages and cards alike! Even though I began paper crafting in the scrapbooking arena, I find myself having to “re-learn” how to scrap after having been focused on cardmaking for so long. So… I hope you’ll join me as I dabble a bit more.
And here’s a card I made with some scraps left over from my page….
If you’d like to join us and play along with this Embellish Color Challenge, upload your card to the post at the Embellish blog, and then head to the Embellish Flickr Gallery (linked below) and upload there as well.
Thanks for visiting! See y’all soon!

Orange, brown and turquoise are such a fun combination…and are perfect for kraft. Great little card inspired by the layout of the page…or to go with – not sure if it was inspired by, but whatev – it’s great too! I always love your big inking around the edges…I’m not the brave…I do little inking….need to try the big swooshes and not freak out when it hits the cardstock – LOL
Have a great weekend!
