Hey y’all!
How are ya?! I miss you guys!
I know I haven’t been posting as frequently here lately, but I’m still playing catch up after having some health challenges over the past week. Thankfully I’m all good now, but I’ve got to get some assignments done and sent off- then I’ll be back to posting a bit more regularly.
I’ve got some fun news to share with you pretty soon, too- so come on back and visit to hear more about that.
Well, now that we got that out of the way, lol, a little note about my card… I made it for a publication call a while back and it obviously didn’t get picked up- which is fine.
I still like it. Lol. I kept the design fairly simple, allowing that big beautiful flower to shine. It’s supposed to be a monochromatic card, but to be honest, I had a hard time not throwing in a splash of color. Rules are made to be broken, right?
The patterned paper is all Crate Paper, glittered chipboard by Making Memories, a Prima flower, and sentiment stamp from PTI.
I’ll be talkin’ to y’all again soon! ‘Til then…

Hey y’all!
I just wanted to share a card I made using some goodies from Crate Paper‘s newly released Restoration collection. Can’t really describe this line with many more words than, “I’m in love!” It’s fun, it’s shabby, it’s quirky, it’s bold, it’s vintage…. I adore it all! You can see all of the details of the collection over at the Crate Paper blog (linked below). Everything on my card is from that collection other than the trims (from my stash) and the stamps, which are from Waltzingmouse stamps. I was inspired to make this a birthday card because of the current challenge going on over at Caardvarks. Be sure and check out the challenge in the link below!
Before I share the close-ups of my card, I have to let you know about a fun little contest going on with Crate Paper at CHA. The CP booth is set up and in full effect, so if you’re headed to the show, be sure to stop by and say hi to Steven & Lisa. They’re booth #1243. Here are the contest details straight from the CP blog:
ATTN: Designers attending CHA
We are excited to offer a CHA contest for all designers attending CHA this Summer. We give out 3 x 3 paper swatches at the show to all our retailers, but want to offer it to designers as well. Once you receive your paper you have until Aug 5th to send us a layout or project using the little swatches. The winner of our Swatch Contest will receive a collection kit of their choice. Come by early for your swatches, we have limited amounts.
Good Luck, see you in Chicago.
Sounds fun, right? Well… I have to run, so I’ll leave you with some close-ups of my card. Chat at y’all later!

Hey y’all!
Happy Monday to ya! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
I’ve been a bit under the weather for the last several days, so I decided to post something that I made a while ago for another combo at Color Combos Galore. I know what you’re thinking… and you’re right…. I simply can’t get enough of those challenges! Lol… Here’s the inspiration board:
Gorgeous, right? I was inspired by many things in the photograph for this challenge. I love the rustic nature of the wood, but I wanted to do something different – so I went with this cardboard. I exposed it a bit and brushed on some white acrylic paint. The paper flowers are bundled just like we see on the tops of those sweet cupcakes. Speaking of topping, I love the smoothness of the white fabric tape that I used, I feel like it’s a great representation of the creamy cake. And lastly, I really wanted a “grassy” element too, but less literal, so I grabbed some trim I had from an old kit and voila!
The red flowers were originally a lighter yellow, but I glimmer misted them.
Fun stuff! I hope you like!

Before I run off… I have to share the winner from this post who gets a free set of these doilies sold in my Etsy shop.
According to Random.org… the winner is…Lindsay!
Congrats, Lindsay! Shoot me an email with your address and I’ll get some doilies off in the mail to ya. Thanks to everyone who left sweet Paulina some love on her special day. Talk to y’all soon!
