*A Special Anniversary*

Hey y’all!
Today’s card is the one I made for my “sweetie” for our anniversary.
Yup! Today’s the “big” day… It’s such a special day for more reasons than I can even begin to list. Just know that I love this guy with every ounce of me. He’s more than I deserve, he’s a blessing on a daily basis… He makes me a better person… And he proudly rocks the title as the best daddy in the world!
What more can a girl ask for? Hehehe…
My card was partly inspired by the City Crafter Challenge to use green in your project. Thanks for stopping by today, and for dredging through all of the mooshiness…lol! Have a great one!
Don’t forget that this week is the final round of Gallery Idol. Check out my card in full detail HERE , and then you can go HERE to vote (if you so choose, lol!).

Hey y’all!
I’m here today to share my entry for the fourth and final round of Gallery Idol. It’s been such a fun ride thus far, and it wouldn’t have been without all of your sweet support. So, thanks to you all!
This round was an “Inspired by” round, and we had this photo to use as our inspiration:
This is such a warm and fun photo, isn’t it? It screams summer time picnic, to me. That’s why I came up with the picnic basket for my card. I created the entire basket by hand. Then I had to put something inside of the basket, so I sketched and hand-cut out my strawberry from some Core’dinations card stock, and embossed it with my swiss dots folder, then sanded. The greenery on the strawberry was also sketched and cut by hand. Can you see how the lid of the basket opens up for the strawberry?
I added some card stock to a Maya Road tag and stamped it for the “For You” sentiment. Then I cut a strip of cream card stock and hand wrote my sentiment attached to the strawberry… “Have a sweet summer!” Cute, right? Lol! I enjoyed making this card so much! There’s something so satisfying about creating something like this from scratch with little more than ink, paper and scissors.
The clouds I stamped and then cut out (and flipped over so you couldn’t see the stamped part). Then, I punched the butterflies and grass. And that’s about it! Again, I had *so* much fun creating this baby! I certainly hope it translated well into the final product.
Thanks so much for swinging by and checking out the details of this card! I appreciate you taking the time. And thanks in advance for your loving comments! I always read each and every one of them, and sometimes reply when I can. They always, always brighten my day.
Voting begins today at 12pm MDT, and ends Thursday at 12pm MDT. Click HERE to vote.
